Our well-regarded bank began on eleven May 1921 and went public in 11 November 1921 in the name of Bracear Bank Limited at Choix Mavanna Building, Thoothukudi. Later we has been renowned as Tamilnad Mercantile Lender Limited. There were only 5 branches right up until 1947. The financial institution has now 388 full fledged branches and 732 ATM's all over the India. In order to provide the rural areas, the bank extended services more in non-metro areas. Looking to increase its total business to Rs 1 lakh crore within the next four years and to increase our branch network outdoors Tamil Nadu. At present we all having a total business of Rs forty one, 000 crore in 2013-14, and intending to open numerous branches in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra in the next 3 years.
The endeavor is always to have 30-40 branches in each of these states. We are targeting a total business of Rs 50000 crore in 2014-15, and looking to have a network of 800 divisions in several years.
